We prioritize on removing weeds but more importantly killing the weed growth down to the root. Using a special chemical mixture before pressure cleaning helps us achieve this desired outcome. Unfortunately, weeds are inevitable, with that being said using a store bought or homemade weed killer to manage future weed growth is recommended. (*We can reduce and prolong weeds from coming back but never can we or anyone else out there 100% prevent weeds from ever coming back. *)
**Sand used in joints does affect how long before weeds come back**
Using a Surface Cleaner, we pressure clean the entire surface to be sealed. Exposing staining allows us to focus and use industrial chemicals on penetrating stains such as rust, oil, and paint. Using a Turbo Nozzle, we remove weed growth from the joints which wasn't removed from the surface cleaner, then hit the stains which were chemically treated to remove stains as best as possible.*Varying on the stone, porosity, density, time, and other factors depends on how well stains can be removed. *
Re-sanding your pavers is essential for assuring stabilization for weight distribution on the paver surface. We have two different methods of sanding pavers depending on the paver stone and deck which the pavers lay on.
**POLYMERIC Last's significantly longer/ helps prevents weeds more so than silica sand BUT can be more semi- permanent / more costly to remove in future. **
Once the surface has been professionally cleaned and sanded. It is time the Seal. Depending on the paver stone would depend on what sealer we would use but more importantly how we apply the sealer based on manufacturer direction. Using Surface Logix, a local manufacturer of Top-Rated Professional Sealants/ Paints we provide our homeowners with Consistent Quality products accompanied with our Expert Trained technicians to reach our standard of results.
In the video above, you'll see our four step paver sealing process. Further explained below..
1) chemical wash to eliminate all weed growth at the root.
2) Surface clean with pressure entire surface area. Removing mold/ mildew/ weed growth.
3) Wet sanding, which places the sand back into the joint of the pavers somewhat like a riverbed (tight & compact).
4) Spraying the pavers with the sealant selected for your project.

Above, we have a unique clay brick which does not react well with most sealants. Here you'll see us sealing with a product called Cobble Impregnator NS (naturalstone)– SurfaceLogix which resist's staining while keeping the natural look of the stone. For specific Pavers calls for specific methods and solutions. some surfaces react well with film forming sealants while others will not...Cobble Impregnator NS (naturalstone)– SurfaceLogix which resist's staining while keeping the natural look of the stone. There are many variables that come into factor when deciding what sealer to use.
These are some of the things our Experts look for when initially coming out to provide an estimate. Having products for all situations and being able to distinguish between the needs for specific sealers, allows us to deliver top results we know our homeowners are looking for/ need.
